NAHA Receives National Endowment for the Humanities Grant

Dedicated to locating, collecting, preserving, and interpreting the Norwegian-American experience.

The Norwegian-American Historical Association is home to one of North America’s oldest and largest ethnic manuscript collections. Founded in 1925 on the campus of St. Olaf College, NAHA also maintains robust scholarly publishing program and holds regular events for its members and the public.

Announcements

  • Crossings, the bicentennial of organized migration to North America, is coming in 2025. Visit the Crossings North American website for historical context, upcoming events, and to subscribe to the official Crossings newsletter.
  • Save the Date: The NAHA Biennial Meeting is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 26, at St. Olaf College. Keep an eye on our website for more information.
  • June 18–22, 2025: Crossings and Connections, a conference exploring the causes and affects of Norwegian migration. Geared toward the public and open to all, the gathering will include opportunities to explore Norwegian-American music, dance, historic sites, and more. A call for papers will be shared in mid-May of 2024.
